Here are some blog entries I am working on-
1) Ham radio: 1955-1964 my first 10 years: a history and a memoir
2) Theism and Atheism: I am presently reading Scot McKnight's THE JESUS CREED and Sam Harris' LETTER TO A CHRISTIAN NATION. The former is a surprising and inspiring story of what Christianity really means and requires: love god and love others. The latter is a hard hitting critique of religion and its toxic effect on mankind by a best selling atheist. Both are very well written and recommended.
3) To continue the above theme, at a later date we will look at the New York Times best seller THE GOD DELUSION by Richard Dawkins and MERE CHRISTIANITY, the classic by C.S. Lewis.
4) Another controversial book I wish everyone would read is Jimmy Carter's- ISRAEL- PEACE NOT APARTHEID. This book is loved and hated by many! You can see over 500 reader's reviews, including mine at www.amazon.com You can also read thousands of comments about the reviews, many comments as contentious as the Israel/Palestine conflict itself. I will be expanding my Amazon book review here.
5) Immigration- history, policy, and politics- the nation's oldest controversy which even predates slavery, will be discussed with an emphasis on the current debate.
6) Global warming...

Remember the old Kingston Trio line, "What nature doesn't do to us- will be done by our fellow man." I think it vitally important that we find common ground. Can anyone draw a circle of inclusion that includes the theist and the atheist or the warring sides in the Middle East or the immigration debate? Tune in later!
